Near the Port of Immingham, drivers that use Ulceby truckstop are starting to receive information about crime spots, traffic, and safe parking spots. North Sea Freight Intelligent Transport Solutions (NS FRITS) is a join private public initiative that has supplied TV screens to show live information. In countries across the North Sea region, North Sea Freight Intelligent Transport Solutions is trying to create efficiency, safety and security. On the right of the screen the drivers are able to see live information and can zoom in to see actual locations and details such as areas with safe parking. The screen also provides information about NS FRITS on the left and on the bottom it gives live BBC news feed. The screens are designed to look just like the ones at a truck stop on a Dutch -German border. The screens are supposed to get underway September seventh. A number of organizations are developing NS FRITS. These organizations include Humberside Police, Avanti Communications, Sheffield-based charity People United Against Crime, Volvo, University of Hull, AVCIS and the Dutch Police. Also, the EU is helping to partially fund them at the moment.
